So at the Aichi Expo everyone's favorite mobile technology megacorporation NTT DoCoMo has been showing off these binoculars that recognize objects and can display details about them-for example, look up at a plane, get the flight information and destination on screen. We don't spend a huge amount of time Rear Window-style peering through lenses, so we're not entirely sure why binoculars that recognize objects and related information would be useful to anyone who isn't big in the peeping tom scene or into novelty technology, but we'd definitely buy some to have around the office for attempting to remotely identify real from Chinatown YSL.
