The Toronto Blue Jays have established a partnership with Little League Baseball to sponsor national championship tourpage_seo_titlents for kids in four age groups this summer.

The Blue Jays have also joined with Little League Baseball Canada and Baseball Canada to create a public service video featuring Canadian stars Brett Lawrie, Justin Morneau and John Axford. The video, which begins airing in April, urges children across Canada to play baseball.

Under the new agreement, the Jays will buy full-page ads in each national tourpage_seo_titlent program and advertising on the outfield fences. Players in each tourpage_seo_titlent will also wear the Jays’ logo on their uniforms.

The Jays will sponsor these national championship events: Big League Baseball (age 15-18), July 17-22, Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec; Junior League (12-14), Aug. 1-9, Lethbridge, Alta.; Little League (11-12), Aug. 4-11, Edmonton; and Senior League (13-16), Aug. 2-9, Regina.

“As Canada’s only major league baseball team, we are very proud to be able to partner with a great organization such as Little League Baseball Canada to further to promote participation in the game of baseball and to celebrate the traditions of the game in our country,†Stephen Brooks, the Jays’ senior vice-president of business operations, said in a news release.
“With Little League Baseball Canada and our friends at Baseball Canada, we are showing how we can collectively work to grow baseball, at all levels, on a national scale.â€
