What Is The Ideal Method Of Removing Stains From Carpets?
Just imagine, you have hired carpets from a company, partied all night and enjoyed to the tee. Early in the morning you get up with a powerful headache to see everything cluttered in your room. Your headache gets amplified to see the hired carpets entirely stained. You have to return the carpets properly to get back the security amount, paid initially. If you fail to return the carpet as you had hired it, then the owner might delay paying your security deposit. Therefore, in order to ensure that you receive your security amount on time, you would need to wash, clean and dry the carpets.
At that point of time, you would want to sip a cup of hot chocolate coffee with the morning newspaper in hand. Cleaning your carpets would be the last thing you would want to do at that moment. Certainly, there are many domestic and commercial companies you can contact which provide carpet and upholstery cleaningservices. There are a few companies in Sydney which will clean and return your carpets within few hours.
Here are a few steps involved in carpet cleaning.
Step 1: Firstly, take a bag of ice and rub it on the stained parts. This will harden the stains so that they form blocks. These blocks are easier to pick and remove.
Step 2: Grab a butter knife and start chipping the stain blocks. Initially, you might find difficulty in chipping the stain blocks away but the task will become easier with time.
Step 3: Take pieces of brown paper bag and place it over the stain parts. Brown lunch bags would also serve the purpose. Also, put a towel beneath the bags part, which is on top of the stain. You will need to remove the bag as and when the stains or waxes saturate or else the mess will keep spreading.
Step 4: The next step is quite risky as it involves use of an iron. Don't keep the iron too hot. You only need to use its heat.
Step 5: Rub the iron gently over the paper bag. In so doing, the stains will be absorbed by the bag due to heat. Accordingly, keep moving the towel, brown bag and iron.
Step 6: Don't keep the iron over a single spot for a long time or else the cloth might get burned. This will lead to another problem in spite of solving one.
Step 7:After some time, you will observe the stains getting collected on the brown paper. Remove the paper then. If you still see the stains present then rub that particular portion with alcohol. You need to put a piece of cloth over the stains and apply the iron again, with steam setting on. This is to ensure the dye or solution percolates into the stained parts of the carpet.
Step 8: Thereafter, you can put a fresh cloth on top of the previously stained parts and iron them so that they turn dry fast.
This is perhaps the easiest way you can get rid of stained carpets quickly. There are many domestic carpet and upholstery cleaning companies in Sydney that you can contact. Most such companies also offer commercial carpet cleaning services too.
