After every joy-ride you should wash your car as soon as possible. We suggest using a good soap and soft wash pad - make sure not to drop it on the ground and reuse it. All it takes is one grain of sand to mark up your paint.
2.Keep It Dry
Make sure to keep your car as moisture free as possible. Don't drive it in the rain and after every wash dry it off with a good shammie rag to soak up the excess water. This also makes sure to keep an water marks from forming.
3.Rim and Tire Shine
These products can make all the difference - just like a pair of real shoes. While washing your rims and tires with regular soap is fine, using products made specifically for them will really bring back the shine. We like to buff our rims with Mother's products and suggest the same for you.
4.Interior
Depending on whether or not you have leather or cloth seats will really determine what's best for your classic ride. For most classic interiors we usually see leather interior or similar material and so our advice to you is to find a good cleaning product and use a micro-fiber rag. For glass we still use the old diluted vinegar trick to get the best result.
If you have cloth seats, we suggest shampooing them completely every 90 days depending on use.
5.Wax and Buff
By far the most intensive, this step really pays off. As long as you don't burn through the clear (you can avoid this by make sure you have plenty of product) a wax and buff will help protect your paint from the elements and keep that glossy shine going.
Of course, even if you take meticulous care of your classic or muscle car - if you drive it - your car will be susceptible to wear and tear and even rust. It is best to talk to a restoration expert if you notice any small problems. The earlier the better - especially with rust spots.
