But don't despair because the length of time that these shed will serve their purpose more than makes up for its cost.
Since most wooden are built using wood as thick as two inches, they are sturdy enough to outlast even extreme weather conditions provided they are treated lumber. The thick size of the wooden also allows it to carry a heavy amount of snowfall during the winter. Also, you won't see dents in your wooden even if hail hits it, or even when a flying ball hits the wall, because timber or wooden are very resistant to most strong impacts. It should be remembered that wooden are treated, as such, they are resistant to rotting and decay as well as from termite and other insects' attacks. Of course, it should be remembered that as time passes by, the shed must be treated again or at least painted or varnished in order to add protection. Another good thing about wooden is that you can paint them over to suit your taste or to make them match your house or your landscaping design.
Metal are the second most common type of shed. Metal are generally cheaper than wooden because they are not as sturdy. Especially those shed that uses flat sheet. Sometimes, these sheets can be very flimsy that even a flying baseball can put marks and dents on the walls of the shed. Of course, you can hammer the dent in order to make it go back to the natural shape.
Metal are also a bit easier to install than wooden, as you will only need a screwdriver, wrenches and other common everyday tools. Metal are prone to rust, no matter how much you try and protect them through paint. Thus, they are not suitable for places that experiences extreme rains and snowfall.
As you may have noticed, both wooden and metal sheds have their own advantages and disadvantages. Thus, it is up to you to choose carefully and wisely which material to use in the construction of your shed.
