1. QUICK BEEF STIR-FRY:
Original recipe makes 4 servings
1 pound beef sirloin, cut into 2-inch strips
1 1/2 cups fresh broccoli florets
1 red bell pepper, cut into matchsticks
2 carrots, thinly sliced
1 green onion, chopped
1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
Prepare you other ingredients according to instructions in the ingredients list.
Once ready, begin frying by heating a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat on your American stove. Add the vegetable oil and wait till it is hot.
Once hot enough cook and stir the beef until browned for about three to four minutes.
Chinese style of cooking requires you to move the beef to the side of the wok and then add the broccoli, the carrots and bell peppers, the green onion with the garlic on the center of the wok.
Without moving the beef, cook and stir the vegetables for two minutes.
Then stir in the beef with the vegetables. Season the dish with soy sauce and the sesame seeds.
Continue to cook and stir until vegetables are tender but still crisp for about two more minutes.
Serve while hot in a platter with hot steaming rice.
2. GROUND BEEF STIR FRY:
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
One and a half pound ground beef
1 bag of frozen veggies, please prefer the carrots, broccoli and cauliflower mixture
1 medium fresh tomato, chopped
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
3 tsp Basil
1 tsp Dill
2 tsp Oregano
Lemon Juice to taste Or Apple Cider Vinegar
Coconut Oil or fat of choice
Have a big skillet or wok heating with coconut oil on your American stove.
Then add the sliced onions and toss them in the pan until they start to sweat and become translucent.
Then toss in your veggies and let them cook for a few minutes say about 5 to 6 minutes. Then add in your ground beef and continue to stir to let it all cook together with the veggies.
Once they are almost cooked all the way through, add your spices, the herbs and the lemon juice. Stir the dish and you are done cooking.
Garnish the tomatoes while still in the pan and give it a quick stir. This method retains the cold bite of the tomato but gains the meaty taste. Enjoy these recipes for stir fry at home.
