Recumbent Exercise Bike Options Offered by ProForm
The ProForm recumbent exercise bike is the ideal choice for individuals who want an affordable alternative to the more expensive models on the market. ProForm offers three models, only two of which are really worth considering. Keep reading for reviews on all three models.
These exercise bikes sell for between $250 and $500. We will start by look at the least desirable model. These bikes are very attractive.
At $250, the GR80 is the least expensive ProForm bike. The problem with this cheap bike is the company cut so many corners to keep the price down that it offers very little value to the consumer. It even looks cheap. This bike features a thin chair that is uncomfortable, spindly legs and a console that is inadequate. The bikes few selling points include four built-in programs, a monitor for heart rate and a CoolAire fan. The one big flaw with the design is the seat will only adjust vertically and not horizontally. This feature is mandatory for any recumbent bike and this is the big reason why consumers should avoid the G80.
The next model to consider is the GR90 Trainer Cycle. This bike has sturdy legs and a Coolux seat that not only stays cool but is also antibacterial for safe use. It features grip pulse sensors and a CoolAire fan. It has ten settings for magnetic resistance and comes with iFIT training technology. The iFIT card is standard on many types of exercise equipment. Many individuals require motivation to exercise and iFIT serves as a personal fitness coach. Its six Smart Programs provide an excellent cardio workout. This bike sells for about $400.
The GT120 Cycle is the most expensive of the three options. The design is also better as is the overall quality of the bike. This model has identical features to the GT90 but has a better console. Buyers receive six personal trainer programs and two Heart Rate programs. This bike costs about $500.
Consumers who can afford the price should purchase the GT120 but the GR90 will save the buyer $100 while delivering the same features but a slightly inferior frame.
