Increase Fitness - For people that are looking to take part in a marathon or some other kind of physical event, it is often vital that you achieve a good fitness level before you participate, else you could end up suffering injuries or even worse if you just hit the road running without any preparation. Even if you are not taking part in an event, improving your fitness levels can increase your life expectancy and your general well being, so this is another sound reason to join a gym.
