The Components of Fitness
Fitness classes in Dangerously Fit fitness camps are all about the correct mix of exercises which encourage participants to burn fat and become fitter. But before you decide to join one of them you have got to gain a proper understanding of what fitness really is. The true measure of fitness is how good your body measures up to these five parameters. The true parameters are cardiovascular endurance, muscle endurance, body composition, flexibility and muscle strength.
What is cardio endurance?
Cardio vascular endurance is the reflection of your body's ability to push your lungs and heart together as a team. Both these organs need to work in tandem to provide oxygen to your body. Fitness class in Dangerously Fit have trained instructors who run the Coopers test on participants to understand the level of cardio vascular stamina/ endurance.
The best ways to increase cardiovascular endurance is by going for jogging, swimming or biking. Once you start practicing these exercise forms your cardio endurance levels are sure to rise.
What's muscle strength?
Muscle strength is the ability of individual muscles to exert a specific amount of force. There are a lot of exercises like bench press, bicep curls and leg presses which are great for increasing muscular power or strength. These exercises are a sample part of most of Dangerously Fit fitness classes.
Muscle endurance
Muscle endurance is also known as muscle stamina. Dangerously Fit fitness instructors define muscular endurance as the ability of specific muscles to keep up the constant flow of motion without breaks. This endurance is an important parameter of overall fitness.
The instructors recommend using sit up steps and cycling machines to evaluate muscle stamina/ endurance.
Body flexibility
Dangerously Fit fitness experts define flexibility as the ability of all the joints in the body to exercise their full potential for motion. How much your limbs can bend, twist will determine your flexibility. Generally trapeze artists and ballet dancer have great flexibility. Lunges and sit and reach exercises are used as a test for body flexibility.
Body composition
This is the final and the most important component of fitness. Incidentally it's very difficult to determine your actual body composition. There are some Dangerously Fit camps where underwater weighing is used to determine body composition.
The amount of body fat compared to the lean muscle and bones in the body is known as total body composition. Most modern health clubs use the classic pinch test to measure "body composition" as it's cheaper and easier,
How to improve fitness components?
Once you have figured out what the five components of fitness are it will be easier for you to figure out ways of new weight loss. If your trainer/instructor thinks that you are good in muscle strength but weak in cardiovascular endurance then you must rev up your cycling speed.
Body flexibility s something that you will have to practice regularly at Dangerously Fit fitness classes. The more you work out the better your body composition will become and you will fitter from inside.
