3 Memorable Gifts for Men
Birthday presents, Christmas gifts, Fathers Day presents it all adds up, and one wonders at each new event just what they'll do to make their gift for him unique and memorable yet again.
You've done the socks and jocks, he's got the latest tie, and you really want to give him something more than just chocolate (even though everybody knows he would be quite happy with something to satisfy his sweet tooth!).
So rather than discussing what you won't get him this year (everybody knows what doesn't work), let's consider some of the presents that would work. These presents would not only work, but would turn a mediocre present into something both you and he will get excited about.
Let's look at three gifts for men that will make his next special occasion memorable and meaningful:
1. Plan a Getaway
Presents for men don't have to be wrapped and handed to him on the day. Make a coupon for something that he has always dreamed of doing, whether it be going overseas to a popular holiday location or going somewhere closer to home and booking a bed and breakfast for a few nights in a country town. Get a babysitter for the kids and go do something you wouldn't normally get to do for a weekend. Even if it's just reading books and going for walks your man will enjoy the break from the hum-drum of everyday life. Or plan some more exciting activities into your weekend and make sure that at some point you go out for a special dinner out.
2. Consider His Interests and Hobbies
Is there a hobby that he'd love to start but hasn't had the resources? Or perhaps he's got an existing interest but needs some extra supplies, whether it's kit building, a new piece of sports equipment, a gadget for his computer, or a new book to read from his favourite author. Does he love to cook? Buy him a new cookbook or some particularly male kitchen utensils/gadgets. If he doesn't know the first thing about cooking but loves to bbq, consider buying him a new barbeque or tool set or the latest outdoor pizza oven.
3. Do Something FUN
Plan a ski trip. Go to the beach. Go mountain biking. Horse riding along a beach. Go to the car races. Plan a surprise party in your backyard with his friends. Give him a pass to go parasailing or rock climbing. Go on a road trip.
The ideas for gifts for men are endless, and this article has only scratched the surface. People get more stuff than they need at these special occasions, so sometimes the best gifts that can be given are the ones that contain a special memory not the ones that are carefully wrapped and handed to them.
Think of creative ways to present your gift to your man, whether that be with a voucher inside a card or a set of clues in a riddle that he has to crack, or on a treasure hunt around the house to find the coupon (the kids will love helping him on the treasure hunt!).
So put on your thinking caps, get a little creative, put aside the stress, and have fun with this next gift for your man!
