The company first started out as a repair unit for electronics by its founder, named Leo Fender. They used to first repair musical amplifiers and improve them with their quality and innovation in amplifiers.
The signature collection offers the headstock shape with the bound necks. The position markers are in the shape of blocks with the neck joint having three bolts in most of their electric guitars instead of the four bolts that are found in the normal guitars. The mid G and D strings also have a second string tree. A distinguishing and unique feature of their guitars is the design that is semi-hollow.
The Fender Telecaster was the first one that had a solid body and was commercially successful. They had a previous commercial guitar known as the Esquire, which was also a solid body type with single pickup. The tone of the latter was very popular as it had a double single coil pickup and was highly suitable for rock, jazz as well as the conventional blues music.
The Fender Stratocaster was a little different from the Telecaster. It has three single coil pickups and the bridge is slanting. This provides a very unique tone. The alder body of the Standard Stratocaster is considered to be one of its kinds. It is a maple neck of 21 fret with a fret board made of rosewood and, sometimes, maple. This model is also available in several exotic colours, such as Midnight wine, Sage green metallic which add to the awesome look. Each of the Fender Electric guitars has a unique tonal quality which makes it stand out from the rest.
